Curtain Call: New York Theatre & Film

I like the rain. It washes memories off the sidewalk of life.
— Woody Allen, Manhattan

The Theatre scene in New York is like a city of its own. Full of huge, wealthy theatres as well as thriving fringe venues.

If you're visiting: make sure you stray off Broadway to theatres like The New Ohio Theatre and The SoHo Playhouse. In August the New York International Fringe Festival is not to be missed.

If you're not visiting: transport yourself to New York by reading This Is Our Youth by Kenneth Lonergan, writer of Manchester By The Sea and the recent BBC adaption of Howard’s End. Watch Woody Allen’s classic Manhattan, and Eloise at The Plaza for that Christmas buzz.
