Take a day to visit one of England's greatest landscape gardens: Stourhead in Wiltshire. Henry Hoare's ambition was to create a neo-classical Arcadian paradise complete with temples, grottoes and a large lake surrounded by unusual trees. Proclaimed a 'living work of art' when it first opened in 1740, it's still as magical today.
